Pastor & Mrs. Miller

Richard grew up in church from the time he was very little and made a profession of faith when he was five years old.  After hearing a message by Dr. Keith Gomez about the reality of hell, he realized that he had never truly trusted Christ as his Saviour.  It was at the age of sixteen that Rich called upon the name of the Lord with the help of his pastor, Cecil Ballard, was baptized shortly thereafter as a testimony of his decision.  In the spring of 1994, he surrendered his life to preach the gospel after hearing Dr. Jack Hyles preach a message entitled "Who Will Fill My Chair When I Am Gone?"  Rich surrendered his life to be a missionary the very next night after hearing Dr. David Gibbs appeal to take the gospel message to lost souls around the world.  Upon finishing high school, he attended Oklahoma Baptist College and trained under the ministry of Dr. Jim Vineyard.

Stephanie also grew up in church; however, her experience was much different than that of her husband's.  Her father was in the United States Air Force from the time that she was born, which meant that their family moved from one area to the next on a regular basis.  Stephanie was led to the Lord by her father at their kitchen table in Frankfurt, Germany, when she was nine years old.  She was baptized by Michael Thornsley, who served as the pastor of the military church that her family faithfully attended until being relocated to Atwater, California.  Many years later, God used a week at Mt. Zion Baptist Camp in Lassen National Forest to speak to Stephanie's heart about becoming a missionary.  She surrendered her life to serve the Lord in full-time service and was led to train for this call at Oklahoma Baptist College, where she met Rich.

After finishing college, Richard and Stephanie were joined in holy matrimony on May 26th, 2001.  They served on staff at Grace Baptist Church in Marion, Iowa before going on deputation as missionaries to Russian-speaking people.  From 2004 to 2009, the Millers had the privilege of serving along side missionaries Matt and Catherine Hudson and were also able to partner with missionaries Dave and Jolene Sloan for a brief period of time.  The LORD directed their family back to the United States in November of 2009 to led the Victory Baptist Church.  Over the past twenty plus years, Richard and Stephanie have seen the hand of God move in some amazing ways.  They count it a joy to be the parents of their five precious children (Abigail, Naomi, Esther, Timothy, and Jonathan) and consider it a privilege to be able to serve the Lord with their lives.
